Dear Emelita Families!

On behalf of the Emelita PTA, I would like to welcome you and your family to Emelita. We are looking forward to an exciting and rewarding school year.
Our PTA is here to enhance the education of all of our students. With the support of our parent and teacher volunteers, we have helped to make Emelita a better school year by year, and hope to continue doing so to provide the highest quality education and the most enriching environment for our kids.

Our PTA also makes it a goal to enhance the spirit of community for our children and families. We hope to make Emelita a “home away from home,” where our children can learn, play and grow, and also where our families can gather for events. In keeping with this goal, our theme this year is “Emelita – The Best in the West!” We hope our western theme adds fun to the school year and creates opportunities for Emelita families to gather together.

Among some of the programs and benefits that our PTA provides for are:
• P.E. Coach for all grade levels throughout the school year
• Class field trips and assemblies
• Family activities such as Spirit Nights, Halloween Fright Night, Outdoor Movie Night,
and our Spring Picnic
• Campus Beautification Program

On behalf of our board, I would like to ask for your membership in PTA. Our goal is 100% membership, as our school is stronger with every PTA member. We welcome your time and energy as a volunteer, but attendance at meetings and involvement in events are not required as part of  membership. We welcome any level of participation that fits your schedule.

Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions, or leave a note in the school office. We will be happy to answer your questions, and look forward to getting to know all of our Emelita families this year.

Sincerely,

Your Emelita PTA
